Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a structured approach to therapy which helps individuals identify the unhelpful ways of thinking and self-defeating behaviors that underlines their emotional concerns or issues. The CBT approach is designed to show you new skills that you can use in your life, now and in the future. These strategies will educate how to actively set goals and solve problems. Learning these skills is the best preventative intervention available.

Do you feel overwhelmed, stressed out, and depleted?

Teacher's work is often isolating, and I know that being able to connect and reflect with your peers provides opportunities for imagining a new way forward. Our goal is to create a platform that allows for enhancing teacher well-being in a safe and secure environment that has proven to have extraordinary benefits. How do I know this? I have been privileged to work with teachers supporting in their journey for well-being for more than 20 years.

It’s not a surprise that teacher’s often get thrown into situations where they feel they have no control over.

They are asked sometimes to do what feels impossible tasks leaving you feeling burned out, depleted, stressed and not feeling you can show up for yourself. This is why I created Thrive for Teachers.

For the past 20 years Lynn has been working with teachers, transforming their emotional wellness and supporting them in managing life’s challenges.

Explore your common concerns and discover new ways to build opportunities, together.

Our approach is tailored to meet the needs of the group and includes treatment with empirical, evidenced-based cognitive behavioral therapy.

In Thrive for Teachers, we offer therapeutic groups and counselling designed to help Teachers experience emotional well-being, growth, and resiliency.

This 12-week journey will help you reconnect with yourself and with others.

Here is what Teachers had to say

“Thank-you Lynn for giving us a safe space for all of us to learn what it means to THRIVE! Together we were able to dive deeper into our soul and spirit, learning first about how to best nurture ourselves before we can nurture our students in the classroom. The specific tools and guiding practices you provided us in this program help bring us closer to understanding ourselves, and therefore closer to being able to be our BEST SELF”

"The program content Lynn offered was invaluable. It helped me to address areas that exacerbated my health issues. The program helped me to understand what my personal triggers were and how they impacted my working life. Once triggers were identified, Lynn taught the group how to challenge personal triggers and to turn damaging negative thinking into positive thoughts. Furthermore, the program helped me to see how work was too much of a focal point in my life."

"To quote Lynn, "Life must be bigger than the stress."
Identifying what makes life enjoyable and planning to ensure it happens is key. Within this, I learned the importance of setting goals for myself and the importance of scheduling time to enjoy life and take care of my physical, and ultimately mental, health."

Using a variety of practices for self-inquiry, we will explore:

+ Assessment, understanding, & thinking patterns

+ The tools of visualization, mapping, self-inquiry, self-compassion, & meditation

+ Nourishing your body, mind, & heart

+ Exploring how your life can be used toward cultivating healthy communities & connection

+ Providing an opportunity for reflection, building a roadmap for self-worth, & self-care

Thrive for Teachers is focused on developing tools and skills related to improving one’s vitality and resiliency.

Our holistic approach to wellness will equip teachers to make simple lifestyle changes that will positively affect their physical, mental, and emotional well-being.

As professionals in the field, we hear firsthand about the strain of oversized classrooms, lack of support, decreased funding for kids with special needs and issues of blurring boundaries and too much work and not enough time to do it all. These demands often interfere with a balanced lifestyle and can lead to feelings of being overwhelmed, stressed, depressed or anxious.
