Igniting Wellness in the Kootenays

Shayla Fiorentino and Corinna Robinson • August 27, 2025

Nestled in the heart of Cranbrook, a new kind of fitness studio is sparking energy, inspiration, and a deeper sense of well-being. IGNITE Health isn’t just about movement; it’s where sweat meets soul, and where two local women’s vision for community wellness has come to life.

Born from Vision and Connection

Co-founded by Corinna Robinson and Shayla Fiorentino, IGNITE was born from a shared dream brought to life with heart, hustle, and a whole lot of Kootenay soul. What started as a casual lunch date in the spring of 2023 quickly became a powerful partnership. Their paths to wellness, though different, had always run parallel; grounded in creativity, growth, and a passion for helping others feel strong in body and life.

Corinna and Shay discovered a mutual love for movement and a strikingly aligned vision of what an inclusive, empowering fitness space could be. IGNITE wasn’t created to be just another workout facility. It was designed to be a vibrant hub rooted in Kootenay values: resilience, kindness, and wholehearted living.

A Studio Rooted in Purpose

With backgrounds in business, fitness, and leadership, Shay and Corinna bring complementary strengths to the studio. Shay is an extroverted introvert with a flair for fashion and a belief in doing what lights you up. Corinna is a nature-loving CFO-turned-studio-creator who finds power in movement and mentorship.

Together, they’ve built a studio that feels as uplifting as it is effective. Every detail: classes, design, community vibe, is infused with intention. “IGNITE Health is a reflection of both our lives: bold, balanced, and filled with heart,” they say. Whether you’re dancing through a high-energy class or grounding in breath and strength, their hope is that every visit leaves you feeling brighter than when you walked in.

What Makes IGNITE Different?

An Unmatched Community

At IGNITE, community isn’t a buzzword. It’s the heartbeat of the space. From day one, Shay and Corinna have cultivated an atmosphere where people feel celebrated, not judged. Whether you’re new to fitness or returning after a long break, you’ll be welcomed with smiles, support, and zero pressure.

Guidance in Group Fitness

IGNITE’s group classes are led by passionate, professional instructors who bring energy and expertise to every session. Their mission: to educate, empower, and remind you that fitness should be fun. The schedule is intentionally diverse and thoughtfully curated, allowing members to work out seven days a week without overtraining or compromising their well-being. From high-intensity circuits and strength training to dance cardio and restorative flows, each class complements the next, keeping your body in balance and your motivation high.

Judgement-Free Wellness

IGNITE is for every body. Classes are designed to meet you where you’re at, no matter your age, background, or fitness level. Shay and Corinna believe that when movement is joyful and community-driven, wellness becomes not just sustainable, but contagious. An Unmatched CommunityAt IGNITE, community isn’t a buzzword. Wellness That Starts Within

At its core, IGNITE is about more than exercise. It’s a safe, empowering space where people build strength from the inside out. Shay and Corinna believe deeply in the transformative power of community. As they put it:

“We want every person who walks into IGNITE to feel included, inspired, and supported. We want them to leave not only stronger, but also more confident and connected than when they arrived.”

That passion has resonated. IGNITE has quickly become a go-to destination for those seeking movement, mentorship, and meaningful change. It’s not just a studio, it’s a spark. A place where people rediscover their strength, embrace their uniqueness, and remember what they’re capable of.

As they say at IGNITE: “What doesn’t challenge you, doesn’t change you.”
