Most of the time we talk about chronic stress, but what if we switched to talk about chronic health. It is within all of our reach and does not mean trips to Mexico or luxurious spas. It really is about understanding the mind body connection and how we have much more control over how we think, feel and behave than we realize.

On the blog this month we are discussing the tools of manifesting and visualization. This is something that we have done for thousands of years. Athletes and many other professionals and entrepreneurs use these techniques to not only provide inspiration, but to gain clarity on their goals.
As a therapist these techniques serve as a guide to empower clients to acknowledge and confront and overcome limiting beliefs by providing tools and encouragement needed to create a life filled with possibility and growth.
These techniques are based in research and science.

What is CBT therapy? Cognitive Behavioural Therapy is a resource that we can use in our own mental health tool-kit. It is evidenced based and the most recommended for counseling, individual therapy, or group therapy for the most common types of mental health issues such as anxiety and depression. We have lots of resources to share with your for CBT.

Emotional Health is not just what you need, it is what we all deserve. My intention is to provide you with some information on trauma and how to manage and heal and live with your experiences. While it’s a big subject I’m sharing some information so even if you do not feel you have had traumatic experiences, you will have some basic tools for life management.

I am a Registered Clinical Counselor and a Registered Social Worker providing support and therapy to individuals, couples and professionals. My approach is always tailored toward meeting individual needs, and it includes treatment with empirical, evidence-based therapy such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). I have worked primarily with professional adults in education, medical, and community mental health settings.

We talk a lot about physical fitness these days and mental health concerns are becoming discussed more in the mainstream. However I am very passionate about mental fitness and emotional resilience. So many of my clients come from trauma, emotional and physical neglect. My goal in therapy is to help them re-parent and understand themselves so that they can provide the emotional nutrients they need so that they are living the life they want.

EG Therapeutic Coaching or Emotional Coaching is a blend of psychotherapeutic approaches commonly used in therapy, such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT). So basically it is a coaching approach but with a formal background in training whereas therapeutic support can be offered when needed. I have two designations, one is as an RCC (Registered Clinical Counselor) and I also belong to the BC College of Social Worker. My masters is in Social Work.

I’m Lynn Hiscoe and I’ve been driving trucks since I was 16 years old. My 1969 Ford truck is a symbol of my career as a Registered Clinical Counselor and Social Worker. It not only represents the hard road I’ve traveled personally, but that of the women and professionals I have walked alongside. It represents the capacity to carry a heavy load and the tenacity of small communities that pitch in together during hard times.
Let's Talk
The first step in therapy is talking. Let's find a time where we can meet and talk about what's on your mind.
